About Me

Hi, I’m Fei Zhang, a researcher and engineer with a Ph.D. in Imaging Science. My work focuses on image data processing, 3D point cloud analysis, and AI-driven geospatial applications. I specialize in UAV-based remote sensing, computer vision, and multi-sensor fusion, with expertise in LiDAR, multispectral, and hyperspectral imaging. Currently, my research involves annotating a large-scale terrestrial LiDAR dataset for forest scenes and developing machine learning-driven semantic segmentation methods to improve 3D point cloud analysis.

Beyond academia, I have several years of industry experience in intelligent imaging systems and autonomous vehicle perception, where I contributed to the development of smart cameras, image signal processing (ISP) pipelines, and machine learning-driven perception models. My work has spanned sensor fusion, image quality enhancement, and large-scale data processing, helping to advance imaging solutions for real-world applications.

Passionate about open-source contributions, I actively develop tools to enhance hyperspectral imaging and LiDAR analytics. I enjoy collaborating with researchers and engineers to bridge the gap between emerging technology and real-world challenges.
